Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a platforming rage game developed by Bennett Foddy in 2017. In the game, you control a man in a pot, appropriately named Diogenes, as he uses a Yosemite hammer to climb a mountain. During your ascent, Bennett discussing many philosophical themes with the player, and mocks you when you fall. The game's difficulty comes in the janky movement controls, and one mistake can cause you to fall a great distance.
The game's speedrun is just as simple as the game itself: climb the mountain as fast as possible. The speedrunner takes the same route as a new player (apart from one skip), and the movement controls, once mastered, go from feeling janky and unresponsive to fluid and consistent.
