Perfect Dark is predominantly run as an Individual Level speedrun, with points and time ranking players across 60 individual levels (20 stages, 3 difficulties).

In contrast to GoldenEye, PD is a significantly broken game, with many more glitches and out of bounds mechanics being available in game. Top times still show excellent movement and use of complex strategies.

Multiple RTA categories are also played by runners.

Challenge modes of License to Kill (one hit kills) and Dark License to Kill (enemy max stats) are well contested, and multiple meme categories exist.
