About WCW/nWo Revenge

WCW/nWo Revenge is a wrestling game on the Nintendo 64 featuring a massive roster of selectable wrestlers. There are a large variety of game modes and rulesets available, making replay value very high.

Speedrunning WCW/nWo Revenge

WCW/nWo Revenge has a large amount of categories due to the game having so many different sets of challenges, modes and win conditions. The most common though are:

Ring-Outs: A category where you win by eliminating the opponent via Ring-Out (i.e. knocking them out of the wrestling ring or keeping them outside of the ring for an allotted amount of time until they lose). Ring-Outs is the most optimized category for any given Belt due to how quickly opponents can be knocked out of the ring.

No Ring-Outs: A category where you win by eliminating the opponent using no Ring-Out strategies. This limits the win conditions to Pin (3 Count Fall), Submission or TKO (Total Knockout). The most common No-Ring Outs categories to run are for the title belts within the game, which must be won via Pin or Submission (TKO is banned for title belt tournaments within the game).

TKO: A category where you win by eliminating the opponent using only TKOs (Total Knockouts). These runs are less common, as TKO can only be turned on via Special Match or Exhibition and cannot be performed in the games main title belt runs. Still, there are some TKO categories.
